Lost Girl

She was just a lost girl,

Frolicking her way down the hills,

Sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joy,

This is her story full of thrills.

Twirling her way through hopelessness,

She kept pretending to be fine,

Wearing a smile that wasn’t hers,

She was rain mixed with a slice of sunshine.

Her eyes carrying an ocean of joy,

Oh, look at her! Her tears so heavy,

Pearls rolling down her cheeks,

Her face dimmed and her eyes so dizzy.

Searching for herself in dark forests,

Swinging on trees from one branch to the other,

She deserved a sky filled with unconditional love,

A home sweet home and a passionate lover.

She will find herself one day,

Amidst oblivion covered with madness,

Singing melancholic songs of childhood,

Suffocated, yet breathing in her sadness.
